Apple has released the second developer beta of macOS Tahoe 26 today, two weeks after the initial beta was introduced following WWDC. Registered developers can access and download this new beta software through the System Settings app.
macOS Tahoe 26 incorporates Apple’s “Liquid Glass” redesign, a visual theme consistent across all of Apple’s new operating system updates this year. This update also marks the debut of the Phone and Journal apps on the Mac, and introduces a new cross-platform Games app. A significant overhaul to Spotlight is also included, providing enhanced functionality for completing various actions, such as sending emails, without needing to open a separate application. The update also includes several core applications like Messages, Safari, and Notes have received updates and changes.
While currently restricted to registered developers, a public beta of macOS Tahoe 26 is expected in July, with the official release slated for the fall.
