The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to make its debut in September; however, you may not want to get your hopes up because according to Jefferies analyst Edison Lee, he expects the iPhone 17 lineup will face a $50 price increase across all models. This includes:

  • iPhone 17
  • iPhone 17 Air (replacing the Plus model)
  • iPhone 17 Pro
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max

Currently, the starting prices for the iPhone 16 lineup are the following:

  • iPhone 16: $799
  • iPhone 16 Plus: $899
  • iPhone 16 Pro: $999
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: $1,199 (with 256GB starting storage unlike 128GB on the other models)

So with this rumor, we could see prices something like the following for the iPhone 17 lineup:

  • iPhone 17: $849
  • iPhone 17 Air: $949
  • iPhone 17 Pro: $1,049
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max: $1,249 (assuming each model start at the same storage tier as its predecessor)

With all the tariffs going on this year, price hikes for the iPhone 17 models have been rumored from time to time. When the iPhone 16e debuted with a higher starting price of $599, some sources indicated of possible price hikes for future models. This rumor was also backed by The Wall Street Journal back in May.

Of course, pricing and other details here are just speculation, so we won’t have to wait long until Apple’s official announcement in September.
