Apple has been rumored to feature two new case options for the upcoming iPhone 17 series; one of them will be called ‘Liquid Silicone’. According to Majin Bu, he posted the above image that depicts the first-party case in these alleged colors: deep orange, pale orange, grass green, celadon, fog purple, grey blue, dark blue, and midnight black. Keep in mind that these may not be the final color names that Apple could market, as Apple is usually creative with its color naming scheme. These cases will feature a matte finish and a soft-touch texture, as well as several cutouts to attach the upcoming accessory ‘Crossbody’, which would act like a camera strap for convenient carrying.
Bu also claimed Apple may have scrapped the following colors: black, crag gray, carambola, tannin, and lake green. However, since Apple has been offering additional color options around the springtime (halfway through the iPhone’s update cycle), it’s possible that Apple could offer some of those colors by then.
Bu previously revealed images that alleged “TechWoven” cases that are set to replace the controversial “FineWoven” cases that were offered alongside the iPhone 15 series before Apple axed those when it introduced the iPhone 16 series after it faced so much backlash.
