One week after the release of iOS 26.0, Apple has rolled out the first beta of iOS 26.1 to developers today.
Being a .1 update; it brings some notable changes and new features to iOS 26 to enhance your experience even further.
In the first beta, Apple has added support for more languages for the new Live Translation feature introduced with iOS 26 for AirPods Pro 2 and 3.
Newly added languages include:
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Chinese (Mandarin, simplified)
- Chinese (Mandarin, traditional)
With iOS 26.0, only the following languages are supported:
- English (US)
- English (UK)
- German
- Spanish (Spain)
- French
- Portuguese (Brazil)
The new beta also includes a minor change to Liquid Glass on the Photos App, with a more frosted look.

Another notable change to the Photos App is a new video scrubber which users might prefer over the current design.

If you’re loving the new Music App on iOS 26, you’ll find it even better on iOS 26.1 as Apple has added backward/foreward gestures to switch songs in the Mini Player.
As noted by Aaron Zollo on X, Hypertension Notifications seems to have disappeared in the Health App. This could be a temporary bug, and might be reintroduced in the next beta.

We can expect the stable version of iOS 26.1 to be released by early November and there might be more new features and changes added gradually with the upcoming beta updates.
