This week, Apple officially opened the doors to the all-new Apple Sainte-Catherine, relocating to a stunning, reimagined space on the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street West and Rue de la Montagne. After nearly two decades in the downtown core, this new location more than doubles the size of the previous store, marking a massive expansion for Apple in Quebec.
The new store is housed in a meticulously restored historic building that honors Montreal’s architectural heritage. The façade features local Saint-Marc stone and granite, while the building’s cornice was extensively restored by local copper artisans. With Today at Apple sessions in the new space, visitors can get hands-on experience with Apple Intelligence on the latest iPhone, iPad, and Mac models.
“For nearly 20 years, we’ve been proud to be part of the downtown Montreal community,” “We’re incredibly excited to build on this long-standing relationship and create a destination where our customers can experience the very best of Apple, from our innovative products to the expert care and support of our amazing team.”, said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People.
To celebrate the grand opening, Apple teamed up with Montreal-based illustrator Catherine Potvin. Throughout the opening weekend, Potvin led live art demos on iPad, even offering custom illustrations drawn directly onto customers’ Apple retail bags.
