As another month and weekend come to a close, we’re just less than one day away from seeing several new products from Apple, all but one are expected to be spec upgrades, while one of them will revive a product branding once again. Here’s a quick recap on what to expect, along with a more in-depth article on what to expect:
The iPhone 17e is expected to feature the A19 chip, and it’s expected to bring MagSafe for the first time on an entry-level iPhone.
The iPad is expected to feature the A18 chip, bringing Apple Intelligence to the base iPad for the first time.
The iPad Air is expected to feature the M4 chip, continuing to bring serious performance at such a low price.
The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models are expected to feature the next-generation M5 chip.
MacBook Pro (M5 Pro and M5 Max)
The base 14-inch MacBook Pro was updated with the M5 chip back in October, and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to follow suit in featuring the next generation of Apple Silicon with the introduction of the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
The revival of the MacBook (this time as an entry-level product)
Apple is expected to revive its “MacBook” branding as a new entry-level addition to the line. It’s expected to feature the A18 Pro chip, and it should come in several fun colors, paying homage to the original iBook G3.
Others
Other products we should be expecting are:
- New colors for Apple Watch bands (including the ones from Hermès), iPhone MagSafe cases, and iPad Smart Folios
- Potentially new accessories related to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
