Apple has started rolling out the fourth betas of iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, macOS Tahoe 26.4, watchOS 26.4, visionsOS 26.4, and tvOS 26.4 to developers. These updates come just a week after the release of the initial versions of the third developer beta, and four days after the re-release of iOS/iPadOS 26.4 Beta 3.

The build number for the re-release of iOS/iPadOS 26.4 Beta 3 was 23E5223k. Usually, as we progress through the beta cycle, the letter at the end of a build number is in descending order. This re-release of Beta 3 previously indicated that we might have a few more beta versions before the final launch. However, the new build number for beta 4 ends with the letter ‘a’, now suggesting that we are closer to the RC and final launch.

We can expect the next betas/Release Candidates to be rolled out next week as Apple gears up for the final release. Initially, these versions, especially iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, and macOS Tahoe 26.4, were expected to launch with the new revamped Siri with deeper app controls, and more. However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported earlier that the revamp is facing delays again after internal testing, with key features now expected to slip to iOS 26.5 or even iOS 27.

Users who are registered as a developer on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting Developer Beta.

Do note that these versions are not stable and are meant for testing purposes. How excited are you about these upcoming software updates with useful new features?
