iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 Beta 4 Adds 8 New Emojis

iOS 26.2 Lock Screen
With today’s release of iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 Beta 4, Apple has added eight new emojis to the emoji picker, with several fun and expressive characters, including:
  • Distorted Face
  • Landslide
  • Ballet Dancers
  • Orca
  • Fight Cloud
  • Hairy Creature
  • Treasure Chest
  • Trombone
These new emojis were approved by the Unicode Consortium in July of last year and are now being introduced with iOS and iPadOS 26.4 as per Apple’s usual schedule. Apple usually adds the new approved emojis with x.4 versions. These new emojis will only show up for people running the latest beta. For example, if you send a text to your friend who is running iOS 26.3.1 with one of the new emojis, only a question mark ‘?’ will show instead of the emoji.

Users who are registered as a developer on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting Developer Beta. Meanwhile, users who are registered as a Public Beta Tester on www.beta.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by following the same steps and selecting Public Beta.

Do note that these versions are not stable and are meant for testing purposes. How excited are you about these upcoming software updates with useful new features?
