In April of last year, Beats by Dre, which is a part of Apple, launched various braided charging cables, including USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to Lightning, and USB-A to USB-C, in four colour options: Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red. These cables used to come in only two lengths, including a short 8-inch version and a longer 5-foot version. Despite the length difference, the cables still cost the same at $18.99.
Today, Beats launched a new length option for its USB-C to USB-C cable at 10 feet, along with 240W of charging speed compared to 60W on the 8-inch and 5-foot variants. This cable is available to order in the same colour options as the other options, for a price of $29.99 on Apple’s online store.

According to Beats, “the cable is sold in over 50 countries and available to order now at apple.com for $29.99, and on shelves 4/23. Built for enhanced durability, the Beats charging cables are designed with a tangle-free woven design and reinforced internally to help prevent fraying. Optimized for ultra-fast charging up to 240 watts this 3m cable enhances speed and efficiency, elevating your charging experience. To ensure quality and performance, the charging cables undergo thousands of hours of testing throughout the design and manufacturing process. Compatible with all USB-C Apple and Android devices, Beats Cables support charging, syncing, audio, CarPlay, and transferring data.”
