Apple’s upcoming World Wide Developers Conference will be taking place in seven days, and as we get closer to the announcement of the next iteration of software releases, new information on a new Apple Cash feature has been revealed by Mark Gurman on Bloomberg.

iOS 27 will reportedly bring a convenient new feature for Apple Cash users who split bills regularly. Instead of manually having to split a bill and send it to separate contacts in Messages, users will be able to click a picture of the bill and split it item-wise, essentially assigning and sending payment requests to their family or friends with the new tool. Since this feature will use Apple Cash, it will be limited to the United States, unless Apple also expands Apple Cash to more regions.

It is possible that this tool, or feature, will be using Apple Intelligence as its foundation and may only be supported on devices that can run Apple Intelligence, the answer to which will be revealed on June 8th at the WWDC keynote.

In the primary keynote taking place on June 8th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, Apple is expected to announce the next iteration of its software platforms, such as iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. The new releases are expected to feature refinements to the overall software and Apple Intelligence features. You can view the schedule for this year’s WWDC here.
