Tax season is here again in the United States. This means that when Americans get a large tax refund, which is usual, they have the opportunity to spend the money on whatever they want. That could be a vacation for the family (or for yourself), a downpayment for a new car or tickets for a concert.

While all of those are great choices for those that want those things, if you are interested in buying tech, or more specifically Apple products, which ones should you be buying to make sure that you get your money’s worth?

Here is our list of Apple products we recommend that you purchase with your tax refund this year:

  • Apple Watch: The Apple Watch has become one of Apple’s most popular products in its line of tech and this product in itself has become one of the most-worn watches on the market. Apple currently sells the Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 5, with some stores still selling the Series 4. The price for the Apple Watch starts at $199, which is the Apple Watch Series 3.

  • 10.2-inch iPad seventh generation: If you were one of those people that did not upgrade last year or in recent years, you may want to look into getting a new iPad. Not only is this new version of the iPad faster, but the screen size is also bigger than the traditional iPad that was 9.7 inches. The iPad seventh-generation starts at $329.99 for the 32GB version.

  • AirPods: Regardless if you are going with the AirPods or AirPods Pro, there are no wrong options. The AirPods I would say are the most bang for your buck since they are the most common and that I have personally used them with no problems whatsoever over the last almost two years. AirPods start at $159 and the AirPods Pro cost $249 through Apple.

  • New apps in the Mac App Store: Since the Mac App Store typically has some of the most expensive apps, you might want to consider using a little bit of that tax refund to get yourself a new Mac app like Final Cut Pro ($299.99). If you are a wanna-be author, then we would recommend Scrivener ($48.99). Perhaps you are an up-and-coming music DJ? Logic Pro X might come in handy for you but will cost a pretty penny of $199.99.

  • HomePod: Perhaps You are looking for a new smart speaker for yourself. The good news is that Apple does have one that is the HomePod. It has great integration if you are an Apple Music subscriber. It’s also good for answering general questions, doing timers and much, much more. The HomePod, as of March 3, 2020, can be found at Best Buy on sale in-store and online for $199. Other than that, it regularly sells for $299.

  • iPhone SE 2: Hopefully you will not have to wait too much longer for this, as we are anticipating that Apple will announce its rumored March 2020 event. This is a great iPhone for those who are not looking to have a huge iPhone in their hand or pocket, or are just looking for a cheaper than usual iPhone.
