Apple has released watchOS 6.2.5 to the public after a couple of hours they released the Gold Master version to developers. Apple had released watchOS 6.2.5 Beta 5 to developers just a few days ago. The last public watchOS release was on April 8th, which was watchOS 6.2.1. It has been over a month since Apple has released a public release.
According to Apple’s release notes on the watchOS 6.2.5 update section,
“watchOS 6.2.5 includes new features, improvements and bug fixes:
ECG app on ”ŒApple Watch”Œ Series 4 or later now available in Saudi Arabia
Irregular heart rhythm notifications now available in Saudi Arabia”
For Apple Watch users in Saudi Arabia, this update will enable Irregular heart rhythm notifications. The ECG App will also be available for use in this region for Apple Watch Series 4 or later.
watchOS 6.2.5 also includes new Pride styling options for rainbow color accents for Watch Faces like the Digital, Analog, Numerals Mono, Numerals Duo, and Gradient.
Before you update your Apple Watch, make sure that you have a compatible iPhone with the latest version of iOS. For this update, you’ll require an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 13. Also, make sure that your iPhone is connected to WiFi and your Apple Watch has atleast 50% charge. Your iPhone and your Apple Watch should be in close proximity with each other. To update your Apple Watch using your iPhone, Go to the Watch App>My Watch>General>Software Update and update your watch to the latest version of watchOS.
If you already have a previous version of watchOS 6 installed on your Apple Watch, you can directly install watchOS 6.2.5 from your Apple Watch. For this, your watch needs to be connected to WiFi. Go to Settings>General>Software Update and update your watch to the latest version of watchOS.
