Previously, we had to wait for the launch events to know about the new hardware that was going to get announced. It’s not the same anymore. It’s more so about who gets to leak the details of the devices first, and so is the issue with Apple’s upcoming flagships.

Almost everything about Apple’s iPhone 12 has been leaked and is out on the internet.

So, here is the complete list of details, curated from the trusted leakers and sources of what the iPhones would pack.

When is the Launch Event?

If Apple follows its own footsteps, it would be planning to host the launch event in the month of September. This is when Apple usually conducts its annual iPhone event. There has not been any official announcement from Apple and it is unknown if the coronavirus pandemic might impact the launch.

How many iPhones will be announced?

As you must be hearing or reading everywhere, it is the iPhone 12 series. As per the leaks, could be four iPhones announced at the suspected September 2020 iPhone event, which are the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. (Source: Jon Prosser)

The difference between both these devices would be the bigger display size and battery capacity.

Both these devices will have a stainless-steel body.

All the devices are expected to come with a smaller notch yet a more powerful Face ID.

It is also expected that the iPhones might receive an update to their design. It is rumored that Apple might be following the same boxy design as that of its latest iPads.

The iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max with the ProMotion Display and 120Hz refresh rate are still not confirmed. Since Apple does not allow to toggle between the refresh rate, it is unsure if it would be nerfing it down for longer battery life. (Source: Front Page Tech)

Other than the usual colors, Apple is planning to launch a new blue color for its iPhone 12 series.

The cameras are going to get an upgrade both via hardware and software. Low light photography is going to get improved using the smart HDR technology and the LiDAR sensor is going to help with capturing better portrait shots.

It is still unsure if Apple would be using USB-C in its new iPhones. But according to all the news, it seems they will continue with the Lightning ports.

If this is how the iPhone is going to be, I personally would be looking to upgrade from my iPhone XS. For me, the OLED Screen and the 5G Compatibility in the cheapest device (iPhone 12) is a big win. I also like how, according to the rumors, Apple is going to start the base model off with  128GB of storage instead of 64GB.

Note: Take all this information with a grain of salt. Although the leakers and sources are very trusted, we still can’t confirm anything until Apple releases an official announcement.
