September is always the month for Apple to launch new iPhones. The iPhone 12 was rumored to be launched in September.

When a new product is under the manufacturing process, it goes through different kinds of tests and validations. Due to travel restrictions, most of the tests and validations have stalled. This breaks the company’s expectation to release the iPhone 12 in September.

According to a Digitimes report:”Volume production of new mainstream iPhone models to start in 3Q20, say sources [”¦] the planned launch of Apple’s 2020 iPhone lineup, reportedly to come in four models and three sizes, is likely to be in October instead of September.”

The report also says that Apple will be focusing more on the production of the 6.1 inch iPhone 12 since the display for this device will be provided by LG. They previously had some issues providing large quantities required with adequate quality. LG is capable of making new advanced displays but it is not sure that they can stand up with the quality of displays manufactured by Samsung.
