Today Appleosophy Editor Brahm Shank uncovered what appears to be an internal Target ad detailing placeholder imagery for a “new iPhone” and Apple Watch Series 6. The unfinished ad appears to feature editor notes. References made to new Apple products are accompanied by placeholder images of existing hardware including iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 5.

Detailed in the leaked image below, the following message is overlaid on top of the placeholder iPhone images (names redacted to protect identity):

“ ”””” will be handling ””- Final layout for this page

New APPLE products/launch, FINAL page dropped to ”””” on 9/9”

While the ad insinuates the arrival of “new iPhones” as well as redesigned OtterBox iPhone cases, it clearly lists the upcoming Apple Watch Series 6 in two separate configurations; (GPS) and (GPS + Cellular). The ad notably omits the long-rumored Apple Watch SE that is suspected to appear at Apple’s Special Event on September 15th.

Apple Watch Series 6 will likely include a larger 303.8mAh battery, a new system-in-package (SiP) capable of delivering fast charging, blood oxygen monitoring, and improved radio communication speeds for cellular and WiFi connection. Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to retain a design similar to the Series 5 with the exception of new case finishes such as “Navy Blue”.

iPhone 12 is expected to feature 5G connectivity, a new industrial design reminiscent of the 2018 iPad Pro, a powerful efficient A14 chip, and a LiDAR-equipped camera array for ultra precise AR. The new iPhone 12 is also rumored to come in two size configurations including 5.4″ and 6.1″ models. The iPhone 12 Pro series is expected to feature a more advanced triple-camera array and a larger 6.7″ configuration.

Apple plans to hold an all-digital event on Tuesday, September 15 @ 10am (PDT) running the not so subtle Apple Watch-inspired tag line “Time Flies”. iPhone 12 was not initially expected to make an appearance at the event.
