Apple recently released to the public iPadOS 14 after months of various developers and public betas. Apple has seeded the first iPadOS 14.2 developer beta along with iOS 14.2, watchOS 7.1, and tvOS 14.2.
Like all betas, we recommend you do not install this on your primary device unless you are fully aware of what implications could happen. Developer betas are intended for software developers to test their applications and make improvements to ensure users have a smooth experience.
In iPadOS 14.2, the media interface has received a new look and new features like iOS 14. In the control center, if nothing is being played you now will receive content suggestions. In an application with AirPlay, the window now appears as a pop-out menu, rather than filling the screen.
Shazam music recognition can now be added to the control center, which was previously discovered in July by Appleosophy Team Member Anton Bulzomi, who discovered direct references to a Shazam Module on iOS 14 Beta 3 (18A5332f)
As new features are discovered, we will update the article with further information.
