There have been few reports circling the internet which suggested that Apple is planning to launch the new iPad Pro with OLED Displays in the second half of 2021. Samsung and LG seemed to be the probable manufactures of the displays.

However, the latest report speaks differently about the same. Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Thomas O’Malley, Tim Long, have said that the iPad Pro with the OLED Panel seems unlikely to be launched in the year 2021. As reported to MacRumors, the analysts have mentioned that the device might not be launched anytime before 2022.

There has been a lot of news about at least one model of the iPad launching with Mini-LED in the first half of 2021. It would not seem the perfect transition for Apple to switch between two different Display Panels within the same year itself, which might be the reason itself for the delay in the launch of the OLED iPad Pro.

With OLED, Apple will be able to provide more colours, improved contrast, higher brightness and even more standby time. Apple already uses the OLED Panels on its iPhone and Watch which already enjoy the benefits over a backlit LCD Display.
