To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Apple on Wednesday released a special Ox-Themed version of their AirPods Pro honoring the “Year of the Ox.”
On Wednesday, Apple published this announcement on WeChat with the title: “A box of Year of the Ox blessings.”
These Special Edition Ox-Themed AirPods Pro retail for RMB 1,999 and are identical to the standard AirPods Pro but feature an Ox engraving on the case. The AirPods Pro box will also feature the same Ox icon on the side.
In addition to the Special Edition AirPods Pro, Apple also created an Apple Music playlist that can be launched directly from the WeChat announcement.
Apple has also launched their Chinese New Year gift guide for customers who wish to gift iPhone 12 models, M1 Mac models, Apple Watch, AirPods and AirPods Pro, iPads, MagSafe Accessories, and so much more.
Apple says there will be a total of 25,400 Ox-themed AirPods Pro available for purchase, with 11,480 for sale in their retail stores and 13,920 for sale in their online store. The Chinese New Year will begin on Friday, February 12th, 2021, and last sixteen days.
