Apple reportedly hires former Warner Bros executive for Apple TV+

Deadline reported that Apple has hired former Warner Bros executive, JP Richards to the leadership of Apple TV+. Richards will report to video marketing chief Chris Van Amburg according to the report.

Before spending six years as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Digital Marketing and EVP of Worldwide Marketing and Chief Digital Strategists in Warner Bros, Richards was the Senior Vice of Digital Marketing at Univeral for 12 years.

“Among the areas he helped steer were Digital Marketing & Media, Strategy & Integrated Marketing, Promotional Partnerships & Alliances, Creative Content, Multi-Cultural Marketing, Branded Content & Media, and Marketing/Creative Services. While there, he oversaw campaigns for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Joker, A Star is Born, IT Chapter 1 and 2, They Shall Not Grow Old, The Lego Movies, The Conjuring Series, Creed and Creed 2. In his dozen years at Universal, he hatched digital campaigns for The Bourne Identity, Fast & Furious and Despicable Me franchises, among other films.” says a report by Deadline.

Apple is still pushing forward with its big-named streaming service Apple TV+, with more and more original content being added to the streaming library, like the upcoming film KitBag starring Joaquin Phoenix as Emperor Napoleon, and the second season of For All Mankind debuting on February 19, and more.
