KTLA, a CW-affiliated TV news station in Los Angeles owned by Nexstar Media Group, has launched its brand new KTLA+ streaming app.Â
What the app will allow users to do is stream KTLA newscasts for free. If they miss the news or just want to watch a certain segment of the newscast, they can do so within this app.Â
On top of the regular daily newscasts, the app will also be the streaming home of its other original programming, “5 Live.” The show airs for two hours between 12-2 p.m. PST, and broadcasts the biggest local and national news stories of the day.Â
What also makes this a big change for KTLA is this gives another way for viewers to stream their newscasts without going to its website, subscribing to a live TV streaming service like Locast.Â
The new KTLA+ app is a free app in the tvOS App Store, meaning it will only be available on the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.
It is also available on the Amazon Fire TV and Roku.Â
