Let the raising of prices begin for Disney+.
Starting on Friday, March 26, Disney+ will cost $7.99 a month.
This is the same streaming service that has all of the “Star Wars” movies, most of the Marvel Studios catalog (excluding “Spider-Man” movies), as well as being the exclusive streaming provider for “The Simpsons.”
Disney+ does have its own original TV shows like “The Mandalorian,” “WandaVision” and “Diary of a Future President,” with original movies like “Stargirl” and Pixar’s “Soul.”
Those who are wanting to get the service at its previous $6.99 per month price will have to do so before Friday so they can get it at that price. You can get it for that price through in-app purchases through Apple too.
On top of that, the Disney+ bundle with ad-supported Hulu and ESPN+ will go to $13.99 a month and the bundle with ad-free Hulu and ESPN+ will go to $19.99 a month.
However, both bundles are not available to be subscribed to via Apple, and can only be subscribed to via the Hulu websites.
Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ are available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
