Sportsnet gets CarPlay support via iOS app

With more sports fans on the road because of the boom of summer traveling, the folks over at Sportsnet have released their newest feature in their iOS app.

As of Monday, July 5, the Sportsnet app now has support for CarPlay. This update can be found in Version 5.7.1 of the app.

The release notes of the update can be found here:

“- Support for Apple CarPlay. Now you can listen to SN 590, 650 and 960 stations, and clips from our radio shows using CarPlay!

– Additional minor fixes and improvements.”

The app is a free app in the App Store and has in-app purchases for subscriptions to Sportsnet that start at $19.99 a month for SN NOW, SN NOW+ for $34.99 a month, Sportsnet NOW annual for $199.99 a year and SN NOW+ for $249.99 a year.

Sportsnet’s subscriptions can be subscribed to directly through Apple’s in-app purchases.

The app is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch.
