Could a sign of change be in the air at Twitter…or in its new iOS beta?

“Sign In with Apple” is one of Apple’s newest software innovations to be released during the last couple of years and focuses on quicky and conveniently allowing users to sign into a website or account through Apple itself with an email of their choice, with the option to hide their email from the app or website for privacy reasons.

Researcher Jane Manchun Wong on Twitter found earlier in June 2021 that Twitter was looking into bringing the feature to its iOS app.

MacRumors has reported that some beta test users are seeing “Continue with Apple” as an option, as well as third-party sign-in options like “Continue with Google.”

Since this feature is in beta right now, it is not available to all Twitter for iOS app users. There has not been any sort of announcement or time range on when the feature will be added to the iOS Twitter app.

MacRumors also reported other technical aspects of this new feature too, “Currently, with a Twitter account made with Sign in With Apple, it’s not possible to change account information such as email and more since the app asks for a password. These are technical loopholes that will get ironed out before Twitter rolls out that feature to all users.”
