Today is “Doctor Who’s” birthday. The show first aired on the BBC on this day back in 1963, and in one form or another, the series has been around.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series, the episode “The Day of the Doctor” was broadcast also on this day in 2013. It is an episode that features the 11th Doctor, 10th Doctor, 4th Doctor, and companions such as Clara Oswald and Rose Tyler, with John Hurt playing the War Doctor in the episode.

The best way to stream the episode will be through the HBO Max streaming service. It currently has that episode, as well as the other 12 seasons of the show since it returned in 2005.

Fans wanting to watch “Classic Doctor Who” will have to turn to Britbox to stream the 26 seasons of the original series. Britbox costs $6.99 a month after a week-long free trial and is available to stream through Apple TV Channels in the Apple TV app too.

Pluto TV does provide a free, ad-supported 24/7 feed of “Classic Doctor Who” too. However, users are unable to choose which episode and that they air like reruns on cable TV.

However, this is where it gets sort of complicated.

Those who are wanting to stream the 13th season of the show, which just started premiering last month, can do so through AMC+, on-demand of their live TV streaming service provider that has BBC America or through the BBC America app.
