For years, we have all wanted to know if and when Twitter would be creating an Edit button for Twitter users. It’s a function you would think a social network like Twitter would have, but it sadly does not.
The good news is while it seems to be in the works now, there are a couple of alternatives for Twitter users that are on their iPhones and iPads often (when using Twitter).
A method that I have personally used is Tweetbot 7. While I have written about the app a lot over the past year, the app does have a feature on it where the user cannot exactly “edit” a tweet, but they do have the option to “Delete and Edit,” which does exactly as it says. It deletes the tweet you are wanting to delete and then opens up the tweet composition window and you have the opportunity to make any adjustments you want to.
Another method is from the app Twitterrific 6, which has the same feature that works in the same way too.
Lastly, the Twitter app Fenix has a feature where users get a delayed countdown to when a tweet is sent to be viewed by the public. This way, a user can see an issue with a tweet and prevent it from being tweeted before everyone can see it.
That's a key reason I keep using @fenix_app because it gives me 20 seconds to edit before posting a tweet
