Feature Request: Use Apple Cash without Apple Pay support online

Apple Cash has been a great way for Apple Pay users to pay family and friends when necessary, but it needs one more important add-on.

Since Apple Cash has gotten more popular and since it has integrated with Apple Card and its Daily Cash, I think there is a feature that will be necessary for its continuance.

This feature in particular would be to add the Apple Card card to websites and apps that don’t accept Apple Pay. For example, Amazon is one of the most well-known online retailers in the U.S., but it does not currently accept Apple Pay on its site.

As a default, customers either have to type in their Apple Card info, another credit card or their debit card as a payment method on Amazon or other websites that don’t accept Apple Pay.

Accepting Apple Cash without having Apple Pay support is necessary I believe since it is a valid form of payment. Apple Cash does technically work on the Discover network, so in reality, Apple or Discover needs to make it work as a separate credit or debit card or websites and apps that don’t accept Apple Pay on them. When you open up the full details of the card, it does show the Device Account Number and a pin number for it too.

Not to mention that with all of this, Apple Pay and is indeed becoming more popular with younger demographics, according to a report from Piper Sandler.

Being able to use money acquired through Apple Cash on websites and apps could be a step in the right direction with Apple Cash and Apple Pay.

What are your thoughts on the idea of being able to use Apple Cash through websites and apps that do not technically accept Apple Pay? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
