Today, PayPal announced on its website that it is now accepting Apple Pay for online small business merchants with its “complete payment solution.” Small businesses would also be able to accept Venmo and PayPal Pay Later.
Nitin Prabhu, vice president of merchant experiences and payment solutions at PayPal, said this is a major win for small businesses.
“The retail landscape is constantly evolving and SMBs need access to a range of tools to help them drive sales, cut costs and protect themselves and their customers from fraud,” he said. “With our complete payments solution, small businesses can get access to all of these tools with one integration.”
Since small businesses that have the complete payment solution through PayPal would be accepting Apple Pay, it would also mean that Apple Card users could earn 2% in Daily Cash on each purchase and consumers could also use Apple Cash as a payment menthod too.
Additionally, PayPal does have support for Apple’s Tap-to-Pay through the iPhone as well.
