Apple has announced that it is launching its second season of summer concerts this year, and this first performance will be by Ed Sheeran.
Sheeran is expected to be performing his new album “-” (pronounced “subtract” and produced by Aaron Dessner from The National) for the first time ever and the venue for the show will be at the Eventim Apollo in London. The performance will be at 12 p.m. PST on Apple Music on Wednesday, May 10.
Additionally, this show and future Apple Music Live performances for the first time ever will be available to stream for Apple TV+ subscribers. The show is expected to be available on-demand by 1 p.m. PST that same day.
Sheeran had this to say about the upcoming show.
“I’m delighted to share my ‘Subtract’ album show with you,” he said. “I was really nervous on the day, as it was my first time performing the new album tracks. The show was brought to life by Aaron and the incredible band, and it was an honor to stand beside them. It was an emotional night, but I’m so pleased we got to document it.”
Sheeran’s newest album “-” is currently available to stream on Apple Music and has 14 songs on it. Apple Music costs $10.99 a month.
