Apple has started rolling out watchOS 10.1.1 to the public with an important bug fix for the battery. This update comes two weeks after the release of watchOS 10.1 which debuted with NameDrop, Double Tap, and more.

According to Apple’s Release Notes, “This update provides important bug fixes and addresses an issue that could cause the battery to drain more quickly for some users.”

Similar to iOS 17.1.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1, there also seem to be no security updates in watchOS 10.1.1 as Apple’s Support page says “This update has no published CVE entries.”

Users can update their Apple Watch by going into the Watch App on their iPhone and navigating to My Watch>General>Software Update. The update requires your Apple Watch to be near your paired iPhone and have at least 50% Battery.

watchOS 10 is compatible with the following Apple Watch models:

  • Apple Watch Series 4
  • Apple Watch Series 5
  • Apple Watch Series 6
  • Apple Watch SE (1st generation and 2nd generation)
  • Apple Watch Series 7
  • Apple Watch Series 8
  • Apple Watch Series 9
  • Apple Watch Ultra
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2

It is highly recommended to update your Apple Watch to the latest software for the best experience.
