Starbucks app gets Live Activities support

In the past week, the popular coffee drink establishment Starbucks has gotten support for Live Activities in its iOS app.

When Apple originally unveiled Live Activities in iOS back in 2022, Starbucks was one of the apps that was featured. However, according to 9to5Mac, “”¦the Live Activities feature has graduated to full availability.”

Previously it had only been available in certain areas of the country but is now available for the majority of customers.

Now when placing orders through the Starbucks app, instead of getting notifications from the Starbucks app, those that have their iPhones running iOS 16.1 or newer.

Starbucks Live Activities shows when the order has been placed and confirmation that the store you have chosen to do the order through has received the order, letting you know that it is being prepared, and then alerting you when your order is ready.

Live Activities can then be seen on the Lock Screen or Home Screen. Those using the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Pro can view their Live Activities from the Dynamic Island.
