It was announced today that YouTube TV will be getting an increase in price starting in the first month of the new year.
Starting on January 13, 2025, YouTube TV’s monthly price will be raised to $82.99 a month. It was previously priced at $72.99 a month, making this an extra $10 per month increase.
The reason behind the price increase the live TV streaming service said is due to rising costs with content and investments in the quality of the overall service.
In a statement that was provided on X (formerly Twitter), the company stated the following:
“We don’t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this impacts our members. With many exciting shows and live events coming up in 2025, we remain committed to bringing you the best of TV, all in one place. Thank you for being a loyal member.”
Over the years, YouTube TV has played a major role in those looking to stream live sporting events with its wide catalog of sports networks such as ESPN, FS1, FS2, NBC Sports, CBS, CBS Sports Network, TBS and TNT, and others.
It has also been a great player in the need for those who need access to their local TV stations such as ABC, FOX, CBS, FOX, The CW, and PBS.
