Another year of NFL preseason is here and that means even more opportunities to do what Americans love to do the most during this time of the year; watch live football.
The good news is there are plenty of great ways to stream the games live from your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac.
Here are ways of which you can stream preseason games live this year:
For those that don’t know, NFL preseason games are not like the ones you see during the regular season, as in not every game is on CBS, FOX, NBC, or ESPN. Since these are preseason games, they are often covered by local TV station affiliates based on your TV market.
Live TV streaming services will be the place to go for these games since they often include local TV stations. These services would be YouTube TV, FuboTV, and Hulu with Live TV.
NFL Network will be the home of a lot of these preseason games over the next three weeks. The services listed above all carry NFL Network too, as well as Sling TV on its Sling Blue plan.
During weeks two and three, there will be select games covered live by FOX, CBS, ESPN, and Prime Video.
For the FOX and ESPN games, you will need one of the live TV streaming services mentioned above to stream them live. For the game on CBS, fans will be able to stream that game live on Paramount+ and the Prime Video game will be exclusively available for Prime Video users only.
To stream the most games this preseason, we recommend signing up for NFL+ since a lot of these games are streamed live on NFL Network, as well as the fact that live preseason games can be streamed from devices like the Apple TV. When the regular season starts, games can only be streamed from mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad.
The service additionally lets users stream preseason games that are considered to be “out-of-market games.”
NFL+ starts at $6.99 a month and there is another tier that includes one-month of NFL RedZone when the regular season starts that costs $14.99 a month. It is available in the NFL app and can be subscribed to through Apple’s in-app purchases.
