We’re less than a year away from the anticipated launch of Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the “iPhone Fold,” and according to The Information, the iPhone Fold is expected to feature a 5.3-inch outer display and a 7.7-inch inner display. Now, these display sizes are similar to those from Ming-Chi Kuo’s report from earlier this year. However, as we’re several months away, there’s a high chance that these spec details are not final.
With that said, Apple is definitely hard at work on making the most optimal foldable in the industry by resolving several design flaws and limitations that its competitors have had. This would include having a crease-free display. It’s also rumored that the next major release of iOS, iOS 27, is expected focus heavily on software features that are designed for the iPhone Fold. Other rumors indicated that the iPhone Fold would have a titanium-aluminum hybrid frame for the ideal strength-to-weight ratio. The iPhone Fold would also feature four cameras in total: two cameras on the rear side, one on the inner display, and one on the outer display. Speaking of which, the same source claimed that the outer display’s camera would be located on the top-left corner.
The iPhone Fold is expected to be priced at around $2,400, and it’s set to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models in September 2026.
