According to a report from Chinese leaker Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, Apple is preparing to test its mass production lines for the iPhone 18 series immediately following the New Year. Here is what we know about the upcoming manufacturing schedule and what it means for the next generation of Pro models.

The leak suggests that once the New Year celebrations conclude, Apple will begin testing its mass production lines one after another. If these trials go smoothly, the goal is to have the production process stabilized and ready to go before the Lunar New Year (Spring Festival) in mid-February.

This early start is significant. Traditionally, Apple begins its manufacturing validation phases a bit later in the spring. Moving the timeline up to January could indicate that Apple is prioritizing quality control or preparing for a more complex launch window than in previous years.

Fixed Focus Digital notes that the iPhone 18 Pro production lines are already being established and that the exterior changes are not as big as everyone expected. It appears Apple may be sticking to the refined design language introduced with the iPhone 17 series. While internal upgrades like the A20 chip and potential under-display Face ID technology remain hot topics, the physical chassis and overall aesthetic are expected to be remain same.
