A new SellCell survey shows iPhone users are more loyal to Apple than ever.

According to the 2026 data, 96.4% of current iPhone users plan to stay with Apple for their next upgrade. This represents an increase from the 91.9% loyalty rate recorded in 2021. The broader Android market reports an overall loyalty rate of 86.4%. Based on these figures, Android users are statistically more likely to switch brands than iOS users. Apple has developed a highly stable and dedicated user base within the smartphone industry.

What is driving this incredible level of commitment? The answer lies heavily in long-term satisfaction and the famed Apple ecosystem. An impressive 83.8% of surveyed iPhone owners have been using Apple devices for more than five years. By comparison, only a third of Android users can say the same about their current brand. When asked exactly why they stay, most iPhone users cite a strong brand preference and their deep investment in Apple’s seamlessly connected digital world.

For the rare 3.6% of users who switch away from the iPhone, price and perceived value are the biggest drivers. When these individuals do leave, the vast majority are heading straight to Samsung or Google Pixel devices. However, with cost being the primary concern, it is clear that Apple’s premium pricing strategy is the only minor crack in an otherwise impenetrable armor. The tech giant’s focus on seamless integration and consistent performance continues to pay off in massive dividends.
