Apple released Developer Beta 2 of iOS 27 on Monday, June 22. The update includes Siri improvements, UI changes, and a range of bug fixes. Apple also added a new Wallet feature called Insights.
Insights will give users a better overview of their finances. The feature shows spending trends, tracks subscriptions, and displays card balances, which can then be viewed directly in the Wallet app.
Many people currently rely on third-party finance apps for these tools. Apps such as budgeting and subscription trackers often charge monthly fees. Apple will now bring many of the same features into Wallet for free.
Feature Overview
The feature will analyze transaction data from supported banks and cards. It then groups spending into categories and highlights recurring payments. This makes it easier to spot subscriptions and understand where money goes each month.
Apple appears to position Insights as a personal finance hub. Instead of switching between multiple apps, users will be able to access key financial information from a single place.
Availability
I have not been able to test the feature myself. At the time of writing, it does not work with my bank. However, users in the United States and the United Kingdom have reported success with select banks. Early reports also suggest that Insights works with Apple Card.
Apple has not published a complete list of supported banks. The company has also not announced when the feature will expand to more regions. As support grows, Insights could become one of the most useful additions to Wallet in recent years.
