With Tim Cook transitioning into the role of Executive Chairman and John Ternus starting his first day as CEO at Apple, he now has an active Apple-affiliated X (formerly Twitter) account with a new post today that says “hello”.
John’s account already has almost half a million followers, with his first post crossing 34M impressions at the time of writing this, and these numbers are still growing.
Apple itself, as a company, has an account on the social media platform, but only uses it for paid advertising campaigns. When Tim Cook was CEO, his account primarily posted about official product or service announcements and statements, and we can also expect John’s account to follow in the same footsteps.
Apart from John Ternus (@johnternus) and Tim Cook (@tim_cook), other important figures at Apple hold an account on X, including Eddy Cue (@cue) and Greg Joswiak (@gregjoz).
John’s first event as CEO will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, where Apple is expected to announce the new generation of iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, and more, along with the release date for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27.
