How to Stream the 2018 NFL Preseason Games

Avatar for David Becker

This week is the first official week of NFL preseason games. Last week, the league did have its traditional Hall of Fame game that the Baltimore Ravens won. However, tonight is the first night of preseason football where more than one game is on.

When it comes to the NFL preseason games, a lot of the games are broadcasted on local networks. This means that games such as the Indianapolis Colts games are broadcasted on their local FOX station (if a national network is not broadcasting the game).

So, what can you do if you are a person looking to watch your favorite team or just want to watch some real football for the first time since the Super Bowl? Here are your streaming options:

As always, we try to advertise the streaming services such as Sling TV, YouTube, Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, DirectTV Now and FuboTV. However, given the fact that the games are broadcasted on local networks does not always mean that a streaming service will have it. Local networks are more widely available in big cities like New York City, Chicago and Denver.

NFL Network does plan on airing a few games. On top of that, they are going to be airing all 65 NFL preseason games, but only a few will be broadcasted live. The rest will be aired as reruns. Be sure to check their schedule to see if the game you are looking for will be broadcasted on NFL Network live.

However, there are options outside of the traditional live TV streaming services out there. A popular one to choose from is the NFL Game Pass streaming service. With that said, the service does have some games that will not be able to be streamed due to both regional and national blackout restrictions.

The good news is that we can show you each game that is being blacked out so that you know ahead of time. The other good news is that most of the games that are blacked out are going to be on national television.

NFL Game Pass will cost $99.99 and with that, you will be able to access both in-and-out-of-market games and will be able to replay the games too. It will not work for the regular season, though.

All of these methods of streaming can be done on the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and Apple TV. This information not only applies for this week’s set of preseason games, but also for the entire part of the NFL preseason.

If we missed any other options, please let us know in the comments below!
