It’s no secret that some states have tax holidays that allow people to not pay taxes on certain items on select days of the year. This is typically done so that people can save just a little bit on items that day or just have a day where they do not have to worry about paying taxes on anything.
With that said, states such as Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina and Virginia will soon be having their tax holidays and people in those states will be able to go to their nearest Apple Store and not pay tax on certain items.
Here are those states, the dates of when their tax holidays occur and what products will be available for sale:
- Florida (August 2-6): To qualify for the tax exemption, the purchase must be made during the sales tax holiday period by an individual for personal use. The sales price of exempt item cannot exceed $1,000 per item. Computers (including iPad and iPod) and computer accessories, qualify for this holiday.
The tax-free holiday is also a great way for students to get a cheaper laptop through Apple and their Apple Stores too.
Apple currently has their Back to School promotion going on, where students get a discount on a Mac of up to $200 off the regular price. On top of that, Apple also tosses in a free pair of Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones too with the purchase. To get more information on this, simply click here.
