The 2019 MLB Playoffs start soon and you are probably wondering on how you are going to be able to stream all of the games this postseason. The good news is that we are here for you and here to help you find the solutions for streaming that work for you.
Now, the first games of the postseason begin on October 1. Over the next few weeks, the MLB playoff games will be broadcasted on TBS, ESPN (one game), FOX, FS1 and MLB Network. Here is how to stream those networks:
TBS:
TBS is going to be one of the easiest channels to get since it is a widely available channel across the streaming platforms and is available on most streaming services and their plans.
With that said, the best way to get TBS is through Sling TV. Sling TV currently has the channel on their Sling Orange plan, which costs $25 a month. However, other live TV streaming services like YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, AT&T TV NOW and FuboTV will have TBS too.
ESPN:
Again, the best route to for this one is going to be through Sling TV since it is the cheapest live TV streaming service that gets ESPN. ESPN is available on Sling TV through their Sling Orange plan. The cost of Sling TV is $25 a month. Of course, if you already have a cable or satellite subscription, you can stream the game for no additional cost through the ESPN app, which is a free app in the App Store and can be viewed through a browser like Safari on ESPN’s website.
FOX/FS1:
Depending on where you live, it could be tough getting your local FOX station. The good news is that services like YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV have done a great job at getting most of those stations. There are other streaming services that have FOX too.
As for FS1, the best way to get it will be through Hulu with Live TV, which costs $44.99 a month. It is currently the cheapest of getting it after Sling TV dropped FS1 last week.
For those that have cable and satellite, you can stream the games through the FOX Sports GO app, which is available on devices like the iPhone, iPad and Mac, as well as the Apple TV. With the Apple TV app, you can stream multiple games/sporting events right from the app. This makes it so that you don’t have to switch the channel constantly and can watch multiple games at once on the same TV screen.
MLB Network:
Alright, this one is going to be a little tricky to find and stream. Thankfully, we have already done the work for you. The best way to get MLB Network is going to be through Sling TV. Sling TV, as mentioned earlier, does cost $25 a month. However, if you want to get MLB Network with it, you will have to get the Sports Extra that will cost an additional $10, making the service $35 a month.
Other streaming services that have MLB Network are YouTube TV and PlayStation Vue. Games that are broadcasted on FS1 will additionally be on MLB Network too.
All of the services listed here do have free trial options and will be your best way (and best legal way) to stream the 2019 MLB playoffs. They are also available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
