This week is going to be a little different than all of the other versions we have done this. What is changing is specifically the fact that we are no longer going to be referencing iTunes.
Since the release of macOS Catalina, iTunes is essentially dead or at least not the place to go to for movies and TV shows anymore. Technically it still exists on some iOS and iPadOS devices, but since it is not the place to go to for movie and TV show streaming, we will now say “Buy this on Apple TV,” which is a reference to Apple’s Apple TV app.
With all of that said, here are this week’s picks!
TV:
- Rick and Morty: How can you not love this incredible Adult Swim sci-fi TV series? With the trailer of season four releasing this past week, this might be a good time to catch up on the series. All three seasons of the show can be found on Hulu. The season four premiere of Rick and Morty will be on November 10, 2019, at 11:30 p.m. ET on Adult Swim.
- Silicon Valley: This HBO hit is going into its last season and will begin said final season on October 27, 2019. Right now, the show is available to stream on HBO NOW and HBO Go.
- Letterkenny (Season 7): Season seven of this series Hulu Original series will be available to stream on Hulu on October 14, 2019.
Movies:
- El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie: This film is set to take place in the world of Breaking Bad. The movie is available to stream on Netflix as of today.
- Love, Fall, and Order: This is a film that is specifically targeted for those who are celebrating the fall season, as the film is supposed to showcase exactly that and everything else you can expect to see from a Hallmark movie. Speaking of which, this film can be watched live on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 9 p.m. ET.
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower: A movie that deals a lot with the fall season is always nice this time of the year. This film can be rented through the Apple TV app for $3.99.
Halloween Movies:
- Coraline: This is a good Halloween type of film to watch during this time of the month. It definitely has the creatures and characters that are good enough to get you a good scare. The film can currently be streamed on Netflix.
- Cloverfield: Again, a movie that should be able to give you a good scare and is essentially about a “what if” scenario, similar to Pixar’s Wall-E. Cloverfield can be streamed currently on Hulu.
- Corpse Bride: The plot of this film is the following: “A man named Victor is sent away to the underworld, where he is to wed a mysterious corpse bride. Meanwhile, Victor’s actual bride is waiting for him on the land of the living.” This film can be streamed on Prime Video.
Sports:
- #6 Oklahoma vs. #11 Texas (College Football): Part of the famous Red River Rivalry, it is most of the most popular rivalries in all of college football. The game will be played on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 12 p.m. ET on FOX. To find out how to stream the game, click here.
- Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers (NFL): Luckily for you, this is the Monday Night Football game, so this should be no problem for many out there to watch.
