Tomorrow is going to be the day where a select five Apple Stores are re-opened in China. The stores were previously closed by Apple due to the coronavirus and Apple not wanting its employees to be impacted by it, as well as not exposing customers to it as well.
The five stores in China that will be opening again tomorrow are Apple Mall China, Chaoyang Joy City, Sanlitun, Wangfujing and Xidan Joy City, according to 9to5Mac. The hours for those stores are set to be 11 am to 6 p.m.
These stores and other stores in China have been closed since Feb 1, 2020 and were set to be re-opened on February 10, 2020, but that date was later scrapped, according to Deirdre O’Brein, who is the Senior Vice President of Retail + People at Apple.
It has also been said that production for the upcoming iPhone 12 has had to be halted because of the coronavirus outbreak, and more specifically, Apple being unable to send engineers to China for health and safety reasons.
Although some of these stores are set to open again, it does not mean that they will not close again, along with others, if the conditions of the coronavirus get worse. The death toll for the coronavirus is at 1300+ people, so it is needless to say that Apple and the Chinese government are going to ease back into this as safely and gradually as possible.
