Apple took in roughly half of all smartphone revenue worldwide in the third quarter, its biggest slice of the market for that period yet, according to Counterpoint Research. The average iPhone sold for a record $1,031, up 19% from a year ago, helped by pricier iPhone 18 Pro models and price increases on older devices. Samsung still shipped slightly more phones, at 22% of units compared with Apple’s 21%.
