Apple Pay is now available in Uzbekistan, letting customers of local banks add their cards to Apple Wallet for the first time. Eight banks are supported at launch, including Kapital Bank, National Bank Uzbekistan, TBC, Octobank, and UZUM, with Visa and Mastercard support varying by bank. Visitors with foreign cards could already use Apple Pay in the country, but locally issued cards weren’t supported until now.
