Apple Watch App Review: Littlebook

Avatar for David Becker

Who would have ever thought that we’d be able to post and view our Facebook feeds from our wrists? Well, that day has come. Littlebook is an app in the watchOS App Store that allows users to see and post to their Facebook feeds.

A feature of this app is how easy it is to post directly to your Facebook account via voice transcription. When trying this myself, I saw that it would take a while for it to figure out what I said, which would make me have to repeat myself over and over again.

The other feature that this app has is being able to view your feed. This is probably the best feature on the app since it is so simple to do. With that said, there is a tiny bit of lag in it. A bigger issue is that it takes a very long time for it to update your feed. In a world where we are constantly trying to get the newest information on social media, Littlebook does not do a good job at being fast with its ability to update. It will get there eventually but will certainly take its sweet time.

Another issue with this app is photos. Facebook has become a way of people being able to share their lives on the internet. A lot of users upload photos of themselves or photos they have found on the internet. In my experience they do load but viewing them on a screen so small, it’s not ideal.

Lastly, the price is simply not worth the $2.99 price. Yes, it allows you to go on Facebook from your wrist, but given its lag and slow speeds, it’s not worth the money in my eyes. Overall, the app is getting  1.5/4 stars. It could be great but still needs a lot of “under the hood” in order for it to be truly great.
