Apple has recently removed Telegram from the iOS App Store worldwide. The reason is unknown right now. Telegram is a non-profit cloud-based instant messaging service. Telegram client apps are available for Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Windows NT, macOS and Linux. Telegram has come under fire for the security of the platform. Specifically, terrorist groups using the platform to securely communicate.

 

2.1.18 UPDATE: 12:26 PM CDT:  Telegram CEO says Apple removed the app over ‘inappropriate content’ and it’s now back in the App Store.

 

1.31.18 UPDATE 8:33 PM CDT: Telegram Support: “This is not intended. Hopefully it will be resolved quickly. Both versions should come back soon.”

 1.31.18 UPDATE 7:31 PM CDT: The CEO of Telegram responds “Minor issue, should be back soon.”
