Pluto TV and BBC Studios have announced an agreement today to bring the Classic Doctor Who TV series to the Pluto TV streaming service. The episodes of the series will be available on-demand and at no extra cost to the users of the service.
There will be a pop-up channel with 200+ episodes of Classic Doctor Who. Classic Doctor Who includes Doctors 1-8. Classic Doctor Who went from 1963-1989 and is beloved series for many TV fans.
Amy Kuessner, SVP of Content Partnerships, said this about the partnership:
“Pluto TV is elated to be able to expand our range of programming by adding such an esteemed and regarded brand as the BBC. The BBC has long been a key international entertainment leader known for captivating audiences with content that transcends time. We are incredibly proud and eager to introduce BBC Studio’s evergreen content to Pluto TV audiences.”
There will also be other old BBC TV shows such as Being Erica, Robin Hood, Primeval and Antique Roadshow (300+ episodes), according to Cord Cutter News.
At this time, there is no specific launch date for this, but we will let you know when the TV shows are added to Pluto TV.
Pluto TV is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
