In a recent article by Cord Cutters News, it looks as though the new family-friendly TV streaming service, Frndly TV, could be getting an Apple TV app “by the end of the year.”
Frndly TV is currently available to view on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Mac, but there is currently no Apple TV app. When it is released, we assume that it will only be available for tvOS devices like the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.
The service itself starts at $5.99 a month and has the following channels: Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Hallmark Drama, Gameshow Network, Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network, LightTV, PiXL, Babyfirst, The Weather Channel and QVC.
There are other tiers for subscriptions such as the $7.99 that comes with the ability to have access to countless hours of on-demand content in HD. The $5.99 plan only enables users to view live and on-demand content in standard definition (SD). Additionally, the $7.99 plan comes with an unlimited cloud DVR and allows you to have content on it for 30 days.
The highest subscription to the streaming service is $9.99, which comes with everything said previously, but you will be able to have four devices watching content at once (the $5.99 and $7.99 plans only allow for one device playing at once) and a 90-day cloud storage limit.
Frndly TV currently has 12 channels and plans to add eight more channels, making it 20 channels total, by sometime next year. You can read our review of Frndly TV right here.
I really hope it come this year. I can’t wait to have it, but I was wondering if it will work with my bluestack simulator. I hope it can also work well.
