The holiday season is typically the time of the year where we as people are encouraged to donate their money and time for the less fortunate by giving money to The Salvation Army by putting money into their red kettles.
What makes this different this year is that the red kettles now accept Apple Pay across the board. They accepted Apple Pay last year in select cities, but now The Salvation Army will be accepting Apple Pay at their red kettles nationwide.
The way how this works is that you must take a picture of a QR code that will open a link in Safari on your iPhone, which will enable you to donate money via Apple Pay.
It’s a quick, convenient and safe way to keep your money safe this holiday season, while still doing something for the greater good.
Let us know if you have done this yet or if you plan on giving money to The Salvation Army because of this.
Yeah, I’ll get right on giving my money to a discriminatory organization just because they let me pay with my phone.
