As we all know, Coronavirus’ new strand COVID-19 has had a giant effect on the economical and the political landscape. With most tech products being manufactured in China and neighbor countries, panic has spread in the market, creating shortages and different importation issues have been persistent ever since the virus had its outbreak in the Wuhan province.

Now, after many weeks of speculation, Apple products are facing shortages in America. With the iPhone 11 currently being the company’s best selling device and and less shipments being ordered with fear of contagion, different states are facing an extremely low supply of Apple’s most recent phone in both models, 11 and 11 Pro.

According to an article by The New York Post, some employees in New York City have reported low numbers of iPhones on retail stores. The same employees have claimed that carriers are stockpiling them in warehouses around the city. These same employees that were contacted by The Post are under constant stress, as they have not been informed about how the situation will develop.

With no ETA of shipments and no information from upper manager, carriers like Verizon and AT&T are being affected without supplies of the iPhone. Even though it hasn’t been confirmed if this has a direct link to the Coronavirus epidemic, it is most likely that carriers are not ordering any new shipments due to the risk of infection in the States.

At this moment, there has been no official response from any of the carriers or Apple, but this story is expected to develop in the following days.

Do you think this is the effect of Coronavirus? Or do you think it is just mass paranoia? Tell us your opinion down below!
